West Texas
Man, those would cover a hamburger or twenty!

I think Vidalias are said to be affected as much by location as by seed trait, and other sweet onion growers in Texas claim the same. Much like the cantalopes of Pecos are said to be distinguishable from all others, due to water, soil, and seed. If so, then stealing someones seed stock would be only half or a third of the battle. You'd also have to steal the farm, and the water, and maybe the weather as well. A good way to protect any patent you might have on the seed itself.

Now you've gone and whetted our appetites. You'll havta post regular updates.
