Cracked/crushed raw soybeans are not as good a feed as you might think. They also tend to get rancid quite quickly. Most folks recommend rolling them fresh daily. Small amounts are easier to feed than larger, so a couple pounds works better than 4 or 5. The free oil interferes with fiber digestion in the rumen and there is a tripsin inhibitor in the raw beans that can't help things.

Roasting beans eliminates the tripsin inhibitor and when done properly, will create rumen bypass protein. Still have the problem with free oil and rancidity though.

The soybeans don't get rechewed like fuzzy cottonseed does, so they must be crushed to get good digestion and this releases all the oil at once. Only thing you can do is make sure they are in a TMR or eaten in small meals spread throughout the day. I am coming at this from a dairy perspective.
