Subject: sick heifer and slipped calf in same pasture. Anything to look for?

Baldwin City, KS
I went to check some replacement heifers today and found one sick one. I treated her with Draxxin, sulfa pills, banamene and some B complex. I checked the other heifers to see if there were any more sick ones in the pasture and I noticed one that had a little bag that caught my eye. In riding past her on the quad, it was obvious that she had just slipped her calf. There are only 16 heifers in this pasture and I didn't know if the sick heifer and the slipped calf are somehow related to each other? The one with the slipped calf is very healthy and was in the process of cleaning when I found her. These heifers are healthy, due to calve at the end of January and are up on their shots. Do I have something going on in this pasture or is it just a coincedence? Thanks.
