Baldwin City, KS | I have been using Loomix and as far as I can tell it is a good program. Last winter, the cows got around 1.25# with some alfalfa and did good. This year, we went to grass with the Loomix using open troughs. The cows seem to get bred back better and stay in good condition. I was also curious as well as to whether the Loomix would increase palatability of feedstuffs. I was going to try feeding 1.25-1.5# along with a couple of #DDG , mixed with corn stover or grass hay. I haven't totally decided, but the other option is feeding 7-10# of modified WDG with my hay along with a balancer mineral. Those were the two cheapest rations that I decided on. | |
