Hereford have a bigger range in Australia than Angus. The Angus is really only confined to the high rainfall areas with feed available 9 months of the year minimum.

why don't you go for an Bos Indicus breed (african) rather than a Bos Taurus breed (British and Euro).

in our desert areas in central Australia we run Beefmaster / Droughtmaster breeds which are all Bos Indicus derived.
