Subject: RE: EZ steer on JD 8220

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
In the initial install of EZ-Steer on our 8310, the clamp on bracket was used. Later the other bracket which required the plastic to be cut was installed. As has been mentioned a small notch needs to be cut into the plastic when this is done. This was a much better approach and I would recommend it.

Later I removed the EZ-Steer from this tractor and switched to Autopilot. This required removing the plastic to get at the mounting bolts to remove the bracket. In this process I did manage to break the tab that keeps the plastic "snapped together" around the column. This did not really cause any problems but the seam at the base of the plastic has a bigger gap in it than it should.

Just be careful when you remove the plastic for the install and you should be fine.
