Given the cost of most of the hay saver feeders and the number that you would need to provide sufficient bunk space for a decent sized cow herd, I figured I could easily invest in a vertical mixer for the same $ or less and gain the versatility of being able to utilize feedstuffs that can't simply be plopped in a feeder and get ate by spoiled cows.
I agree with the other guy that they will all waste hay. I think no matter how nice the principal of haysavers, alot of cows just want to back up a foot or two to enjoy a mouthfull of hay. Just my observation. | |
