It is my understanding that all of the units are compatible with the upgrade. I think your tech updated the software, but not the WAAS upgrade. Yours is old enough that it didn't have the E-DIFF in it. Still shouldn't matter. If you don't get it fixed, call Outback directly @ 800-247-3808
