Likely the barn manager convinced someone to bring them in who was naive and unknowing, barn bought them, will shrink them out a few days and they will sell sorted up saturday for $1.30+.  Good way for the barn to make some bucks and increase numbers at his "special" sale.  Probably gave the seller some line about how they were too fleshy and he'd be better off bringing them to the weekly sale than to bring them to the special sale knowing this is what he'd do.  Not even sorting the heifers and steers was pretty tacky and a giveaway something was up, probably all his buddies and order buyers sat on their hands during that lot sale too.  Was this at Greenville?
