near dyersville iowa
I just finished one up with a hydraulic motor fit on a bracket that hooks into the 3pt of my tractor. The motor had been used to raise silo unloaders, and had an adapter on the end of the shaft. Simply put a piece of ready bolt in, a set screw to hold it, and tightened the empty roll on with two big nuts. Run the hydraulics as slow as you can, and it works out ok..I dont tighten the roll in real tight, sort of a slip clutch effect, trying to figure out something a little better just in case a finger or something gets caught somehow..
