i've always sold my calves as feeders prior to this year, but am thinking about keeping a couple for my family to send to locker.
should i keep at least 2?
what finish weight should i aim for?
can i get by feeding free choice hay with a little shelled corn/soybeans each day ( how much )?
any health issues to be concerned about?
heifers or steers?
any other issues to consider?
