| Depending on the size of your bales, each group of cows should eat about a bale per day. Why not experiment a bit and try it both ways? Unroll a bale for one group and put the bale in a ring for the other batch of cows.
Are you trying to feed both groups seperately because of different age groups, calving dates, water supply limitations, storm protection, or some other reason? Why not put both groups together and feed them at one time., one place. Use up the pasture in one place, then move them to the other. In reality the total number of cows will likely eat something averaging out to like a bale and a half per day. | |
