I am feeding 40 cows w/ calves this winter, at 2 different places (20 @ site); do you think I will waste more hay with hay rings, or with unrolling the bale for just 20 cows? My dad is feeding one group and he is adamant that we unroll the bales. My buddies think we'll waste more with just 20 on a bale than if we use rings. Thoughts?
