funny how one will have an 'idea' on what is 'normal'.
My Dad grew up in western Colorado, and ate beef grown in the area.... all range fed. underneath the sage bushes there is probably 10 sprigs of short grass these cattle had to eat.
When he got married in 1950, and moved to eastern Iowa, He had a REAL problem trying to gag down the 'weird' white fat critters. He did eventually get over his fear, but longed to sink his teeth back into a 'yeller' coated steak! An 'acquired' taste??
