iowa
Had about 30 acres burnt in wright county last year. It took some time before the insurance CO would let it be picked up as they took bids on it. The outfit that got it took about 2 months trying to get it picked up. I used to drive by the field daily on my way to work. They had a terrible time getting it off the ground. I even saw about a dozen mexican workers picking it up and throwing it into a loader bucket, then to the combine head or an old elevator into trucks. I looked like they only got about half of it picked up, the rest they eventually plowed under just before the ground froze. It really looked wasteful, if it had been fenced and sheltered cows have worked on that for some time. It was round up corn as well and corn was put back on it this year.
