When you want em to top out, just push the shell corn / distillers harder ( say 60 days ) and back off the roughage some.

Basically you should be able to "rough em" pasture, roughage a touch of distillers till they grow to say 850 to 900 lbs then hit em with shell corn / distillers hard for 60 days and that will be excellant meat ( home process sales etc ).

Or push em another 30 days on feed and they should bring $10 cwt back of tradit fat cattle, because alot of those hiefers will grade choice then.
