Subject: RE: Weather folks saying here that the La Nina

New Mexico
effect that supposedly causes this dry could run thru next year.

In New Mex the "water" year is figured from Oct 1 thru the next Oct 1 ( thus accounts for snow pack in the mountains ).
State avg is the driest in history so far to date.

Normal avg is in the 12 to 13" total moisture range.
Oct 1, 010 thru current is so far 6.25".

NM btw, is likely wetter than TX this year.

Whole State avg in NM been brought down simply due to the big dry in E NM.
( granted there's some decent wetter spots in the E High Country ie Sangre De Cristos, Manzanos etc in the E 1/2 ).

Western NM thru AZ ( West of the Continental Divide ) never been better ( alot of moisture the past 4 years there ).

Those places in the E, areas that normally get 15 to 16", plenty of em only had say 3 to 4" since last Sept 1st ( maybe kinda greenish, sure not growing much though ).

No doubt about it this year, TX probably has more skinny cows than cows in OK range shape.
