If you really think cob corn is so good, you could always close your cylinder down tight on your combine and take out your sieve and open up your chaffer and you'll have a cracked corn/cob mix.  I've fed a lot of ground cob corn in my life and not convinced it is everything it is promoted as being on this board.  Works well in a self feeder but lowers the energy in the ration, thus lowering the performance.
