| I'm looking for something to graze stocker cattle on during feb thru April, they will go to pasture around May 1st. The fields I have available are planted to spring oats and radishes now and will be grazed till they freeze out this fall. The fields will go to soybeans after grazing next spring. I was thinking about just planting oats again in February or is there something else such as rye or triticale that I could plant late this fall that would green up early in the spring. I suppose I could plant while the cattle are still grazing this fall to get it germinated. Depending on when we have a killing freeze, the cattle could still be grazing through November. I'm located in Washington county Kansas which is along the Nebraska border. Thanks! | |
