I have set them on 2x2x3 concrete blocks. 2'high when they are smaller,3' high when they are bigger.Have alot of snow here so need to keep them off the ground. I had the blocks around anyway. Drilled some holes in the blocks and pinned them so they don't get knocked off . Also make sure you take care of any sharp edges.
