That just means it's gonna cost money. Such is life, if he didn't want to be short wheat at that price, he shouldn't have sold wheat to begin with. There is no earthly reason for the buyer to just let the contract go without any renumeration. That would cost the buyer money, because you can rest assured that they offset the position as soon as they wrote the contract with the grower.
