| I think you will see strength until we get a forecast of rain in the "I" states.
Looked at using some options, but it seemed like I was giving up too much just to put a floor under prices that wasn't really close to where we're at now.
We sold half of the corn we have left or a bout 20% of last years crop for $4.43 Friday. Also priced 25% of 07 crop for $4.19for Dec. del. and beans for $8.51 for Jan del.
Made up my mind that if things were higher Monday I'd price some more. If we raise any kind of crop it's hard not to make money at these prices. Even if we don't raise a crop what happens to our local yields won't matter a bit in Chicago. | |
