You make some very good points Pat. When you can make a living setting in a $250,000 tractor with auto steer why would you want work 365 raising pigs? Some guys can't do that so we raise pigs.

I think some of the big guys are positioning for an increased demand. Looks like a good maket strategy to me if you can weather the storm. It's not much diffrent than the guy who see all his neighbors plow there pasture up and in turn decides to increase his cattle numbers.

Hogs have been good to us and my intergrater has always treated me fair. The barns have allowed me to put food on the table without haveing to get a job in town, increased yield and soil health on our farm and supplied a very stable assest for future growth.

Just my two cents. I'm sure this will get some guys stired up.
