SW IN | I have a 500 lb steer with a terrible wound on his leg. You can see the bone in one place. The vet suggested LA 200 and hydro therapy. That is, I use a water hose directing the most pressure it will produce for ten minutes twice a day. Vet said three times a day is not too much. After a week, I can see that the area is getting increased blood flow. It makes the area bleed a little. The vet says this will allow the wound to granulate over in time. I figured it would be a fight to do it, but he seems to tolerate it well. from what I have seen, I would think it would heal a wire cut pretty quickly.
Edit: If you are talking about just a little cut on one area of the leg, I doubt you need to do this. If you have a deep wire cut all around the leg, I would think about doing it.
