Subject: not paying attention

Pittsburg, Kansas

OK I'll have to admit to not paying attention. I have not followed cash prices much since we sold the last of what we had a couple weeks ago. Didn't realize basis was that good. I was thinking of earlier prices. Don't even know what we got when we sold the last - just told Becky to check around and take the best price. I think it was through one of the elevators down by the port but delivery to Sherwin.

We never hauled any of that during the ice storm. Not worth it to me whatever the price to have a truck either wrecked or DOT sidelined in the middle of an ice storm that far from home. Bad enough 30 or 40 miles away, let alone in timbucktoo.

I apologize  for the confusion on the basis. I really do know what it is - just was going off memory and old information - and my memory isn't that good. I need a vacation.
