While I agree that corn growers need livestock producers, I do think the increase in corn prices can have some positive results. Its certainly going to make some producers think about early retirement, or cutbacks in expansion plans, or may cause some to stay out of the business. In the long run that should help those already in the industry. Milk prices have already risen to reflect that fact. It may not be easy, but its more sustainable than relying on govt subsidies across the board due to oversupply.
