Can't agree with those who like lard, but I suppose if you do - you could substitute it for the shortening.
These are the two I use all the time and they are delicious.

Never Fail Pie Crust

4 c. flour
1 ¾ c. Crisco shortening
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp vinegar
½ c. cold water
1 egg

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Beat water, vinegar and egg and add. Mix well. Divide dough into 4 equal portions. Flatten patties and chill ½ hour before use. Else freeze until ready to use.

Sweet Pie Crust

1 ½ c. flour
¾ tsp salt
2 Tbsp sugar
½ c. oil
2 Tbsp cold milk

Mix altogether and pat into 10 inch pie pan or 9 x 9 pan. Bake 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Fill with fresh fruit or cold pudding pies. Makes a sweeter, cookie like crust
