No two ways about it,bar none,good crust depends on LARD ! Can't remember for sure about an old neighbor's recipe. Something like 2 cups of flour???,1/2 or 1 cup of lard ????,1 egg, 1 tablespoon vinegar, and cold water. Lard makes for a light and flaky crust. Its the only crust that I don't leave some on the plate. Got to find that recipe.
