Blocks won't work good enough to treat an outbreak- inconsistent intake
Not sure you really have a problem with it-- most times it shows with bloody diarrhea when its an issue(seen it in lambs,kids and dogs)
Having it show up in a stool sample means its around- not necessarily that its causing problems(esp in older animals).

Won't hurt to clean it up even if giardia not your real problem
Hand dosing for 5-6 days is the best treatment- if not possible the next best is hand feeding a medicated feed.
Ducks/geese on your water source is a common vector.
