That NIH study you reference, along with some posts on the crop talk page about being thankful for government backed crop insurance, should be required reading for all those folks complaining about government.

Our government is certainly not without its faults  but it has done and continues to do a lot of useful things such as research Giardia parasite, and back crop insurance. Good luck dealing with this.
