Not sure on sandy soil, but I typically expect about 2 loads(7-8 ton/load at 25-30% DM). Have had from 1 to 3 loads. I wouldn't get carried away with fert, maybe 30-40 lbs N and 10-20 phos, depending on soil test level. It doesn't take a lot of rain, it will lay there waiting for rain, then watch it grow if it does. I generally plant 8-10 lbs. in 36 inch rows, don't need that much but you plant shallow and can be tough to get it started in dry soil. If half of it comes up you're all right.
