lemchop - 4/3/2011 10:34 you can spread manure year round anywhere. Just isnt exactly legal in wisc. depending on who you are. More dnr rules. Why is it a cafo cant spread but all the non-cafo's can dump where ever they want? I happen to think the non-cafo's cause more enviromental damage.

 

 

I happen to think cities dumping raw sewage into a river whenever they have to "emergency discharge" does more damage than any livestock operation could ever do by applying manure on frozen farmland.

 

 

Cities dumping sewage sure doesn't make the front page of the Des Moines Register as quickly as a 5000 gal manure spill does though :-(

 

I guess its all about where the votes are.
