South East , Manitoba , Canada | Jim;
I'm envious of your green grass and lack of snow. Things a little further north are not that advanced. We have missed the last storm that gave North Dakota / Minnesota and you all some additional snow (about a foot) but that's OK. We still have plenty. To give some perspective...The spruce trees in the picture are about 9 feet tall. The snow banks on the edge of the river are about 15 to 20 feet deep. Day time highs about -5C overnite lows -20C . I like those temps ... I'm hoping for a slow melt ... that will help out in the spring flood situation. I'm wishing all those in the River basins (I'll start with the Red River) are safe ... high and dry for this spring.
