My vet charges 100 per hour to preg. check milk cows & dairy heifers, plus 69 dollars for a farm call. But for beef cows he charges by the head( thinking it's $2.50 a head) plus same call out fee. That's what burns me, the dairy & beef heifers and be preg. check in the same amount of time. The head vet told me, reason for per hour charge was the price of milk and dairy heifers was up so he was entitled to more money!
