I just had a 97 lb calf and that was really heavy when I picked it up to weigh it like all of them. Ten days ago had one that was ~62 lbs. Herd average is in the 75 lb range. If we had 100+lb calves we couldn't get rid of our bred heifers, the bw would be terrible. These are register black angus cows. The lightest calf was 55 lbs, it was tiny.
