Yeah with nothing to do they don't need much, ours get a few lbs of DDG/hd every other day with some hay. DDG's are more just to keep their energy up and to keep them tamed down. They also get their own meadow to be in, several hundred acres for 20 bulls they get 30--40lbs hay every other day, just enough where they don't need to go out and graze hard if they don't want to. They also only get fed between Nov/Dec to April then out with the cows until late June and then they get thrown in a pasture somewhere with no supplement until the Nov/Dec move to the meadow.

Gave them a treat of half an alfalfa bale today.
