| Yeah, the thing about inoculants is there is no good way to check if they really work or not. The best way would be too have two separate piles of the same crop of feed (one with inoculant and one without). We all know how practical that is. There are a number of different factors that go into feed quality weather, moisture, timing, and varieties. There are so many variables that play a role and when you add all of them up there is no way, I THINK, that inoculants are going to make a huge difference in starch and digestibility. I think, at least in my operation if we try to do a better job of timing, getting feed up right, and packing that will do just as good as spending a lot of money on inoculants. Just my opinion!! | |
