Subject: Re: Truck Mount TMR mixers

Sunnyside, WA
Ramp was put in to make loads in the silage pit with the old payloaders and feed trucks. JCB just happened to be mixing that day and they use the ramp out of habit. Ramp has since been removed and we can feed into any of our mixers with our 3 larger loaders. Older 924 can't quite reach the wagons.

Trioliets are doing ok. Loewens are hard to beat as they are built like a tank. Trioliets have had some undercarriage issues and now we have the augers puled out on one welding the extra small flighting on the auger. 4 of 6 augers were all cracked and one broke off. I think it all can be fixed with some gussets.

The shiftronic on the Trioliets is great for mixing and much easier on the tractors. Our 8110 used to struggle with a Loewen 1022 (1150 cu ft) but it can handle a 4000 Trioliet (1415 cu ft) quite easily. The gearboxes do have electronics which can cause a few problems, but nothing that usually can't be fixed with a seleniod or a fuse. Both companies stand behind their mixers well. We still have one Loewen 1022 as a backup, but it hasn't been used in almost 2 years. We can feed everything now with one Trioliet if we have to.
