The reason the price goes so high 1. is to help the kids with their education. 2. a tax write off for the larger corporations that buy them. 3. advitersment for the buyer. It is one of the few times that money gets handed down to our future farmers. No doubt it is insane to spend that much for a steer, but it goes to a good cause.
