One way to get the momma cow to follow is get one of those big black plastic sleds (calf inside sled) and a long rope behind the 4 wheeler and the cow will be far enough back as she sees the clf moving, will follow. Not 100% all the time, but sled the calf into corral and have someone at the gate as you drive through.
