Subject: Another calf question

perryton, tx
I had a cow give birth this afternoon. Temperature at the time was about 10 degrees. The calf was semi-dried off with some of its hair frozen and some frozen dirt coating parts of her. I attempted to move her to the shed but the momma wouldn't come so i decided to just leave her out in the pasture rather than seperating them. The calf was up and around if kind of wobbly and it appeared that she had nursed. The temp is supposed to hit -5 tonite so i am hoping this little girl makes it ok-did i do the right thing?
