Subject: Re: ring worm?

Ringworm is a topic that gets cussed and discussed a lot on this page. Just do a search of Stock Talk for "ring worm" and you'll get a half day's worth of reading.

Ringworm is a fungus. There are all kinds of home remedies ranging from iodine, bleach, toothpaste, and some kind of insecticide I can't recall now. Bottom line is ringworm is mainly a cosmetic problem and will eventually go away whether it is treated or not.

If you do decide to treat ring worm, be careful handling the animals so you don't catch it yourself. Neighbor got ring worm once and dr gave him some kind of prescription that ladies use for yeast infection.
