That's not true Garvo we're just afraid to admit it for fear EPA or the DNR might be monitoring this site and track us down. Where in NW Illinois are you at deere 9230 because if your not to far from the Cascade iowa area you could look at all of the building types you mentioned in a few hours. I'm considering a monoslope type barn with a pit on the feeding side for about the first twenty feet behind the bunk then a bedding pack behind that at a 18" lower level ( anyone think that would work) for one site. What I really want is a roof like a convertible car,only need it when it is raining or snowing or to hot rest of the time I don't want one. Need to go for a drive soon and gather more info and ideas myself. From what I've heard we will also need summer and winter manure storage under roof which is why I'm looking at the slatted combo idea. Not much help unless you want to look at the buildings let me know.
