I agree. you don't need to do everything like the neighbors do. Run your own ship. It is the net profit at the end of the day that counts - and lets you do it again next year. Some of the folks with all the equipment etc are maybe not as profitable as you think, depending on who is doing the accounting. I would be careful also about changing too many things in your operation to fast. Try small steps and prove them out first. "Drastic" change may be dangerous if done too quickly. Small steps.
