New Mexico | so there's still plenty of producers who have yet to see much if any, real higher money for their feeder cattle.
Probably take 5 years of $200 + / - cwt calves for usa cow herd numbers to stabilize rather than the continued decline.
Many no longer TRUST the good ole usa "trickle down" system.
The continuing cattle herd decline is very evident of the afore.
It takes TRUST for the little folks to stick their neck out and build an economy.
Just been way to many "BURNS" of "squeeze the middle" usa so to speak.
One "carnie" game after another. Chickies, Hogs, Dairy etc..
Dairy simply going "vertical" now...just like the hog days of the early 90's. ( consolidateds are expanding...and the non connecteds are done...it's that simple too )
Hog folks were closing down mile after mile, yet on the other side of the road same miles NEW hog barns going up mile after mile.
