| Was just quoted $1.40 lb for some 300 lb beef x hol calves. Mostly black/black white face. Fully vaccinated and implanted. Will I take a blood bath on these if I background them on pasture w/ supp.? Will there growth habbits be more of a hol. or beef animal?
Or should I hold out until March and by some 400 lb straight beef cross calves? Perhaps do a split...part beef x hol now then buy straight beef later to run together?
