Clarinda
I used to unroll hay, I ground hay , I put hay in feeders and still found a certain amount of hay loss I wasn't comfortable with . I bought feeder with inserts. Didn't waste much but didn't have the consumption to sustain weight in the winter. So I built my own. 5 years I worked on these feeders and with farmers imput and modified to the farmers concern. I wanted to make a feeder that would last, and would allow cattle to consume enough hay but not waste it, something that can be moved by a tractor. because it is the tractor that ruins feeders and not cattle, yet be affordable. Although there is no perfect feeder made, this comes closes.
