Check the bore for pitting.  I've seen a few of those guns that looked perfect on the outside,  but halfway down the barrel be a rusted mess.  Communist efficiency with the grease I suppose.

As for accuracy, Its an old military rifle thats probably been rebuilt a few times, after being cared for by a bunch of young soldiers.  I imagine any new, modern rifle would shoot better.  A modern gun would be ready for a scope out of the box as well.
