After telling a friend about our problems, he said he always checks CR before big buys. Went and looked, sure enough the fridge we had wasn't recommended very highly at all.

More to answer you questions directly, when we traded houses 6 years ago, went with GE for fridge, electric range, and microwave, and Whirlpool dishwasher Quiet Partners III. All have been good appliances, except had main tube in microwave fail, but was replaced free under warranty. Good luck. Bruce |
