Subject: RE: Livestock trucking business

I agree, no making a part-time living out of it. I got a 24 foot gooseneck cattle trailer for my own use, and I will haul a few loads from time to time. Most everybody got a trailer themselves to haul their calves themselves. When I most of time haul cattle when someone selling a tractor-trailer load to the salebarn. It just extra pocket money for me. If you already got a truck and trailer, it be alright, but I wouldn't go out and buy a trailer to haul cattle with for hire. I did do this, I had a little 12 foot cattle trailer that me and my father brought in 1991 to pull with 1/2 ton pickups. But in 2000 I brought a 1 ton Dodge diesel truck, so a few years ago I replace it with a 24 foot trailer.
